Welcome to Bodhi Thai Restaurant Castle Cove!
Many people ask us where did we get our restaurant name from? So, Bodhi (Sanskrit: बोधि) is both a Pāli and Sanskrit word traditionally translated as “enlightenment”, but frequently (and more accurately) translated as “awakening” or “to know”. The Bodhi tree is a fig tree that Buddha was sitting under when he reached enlightenment. That’s why we call our restaurant Bodhi Thai.
We serve modern Thai dishes which retain the authentic Thai taste. Our chef uses his Thai culinary skills and combines them with western culture based cuisine to create truly unique dishes. Our menu contains dishes that have been designed to suite local taste and includes number of local favourites such as Massman Lamb shank, Sexsy Duck, Duck Surprise, Crispy Basil Beef, Garlic and Pepper soft shell crab and many more.
